Dan Pearcy has worked as a teacher of mathematics, a Head of Department and an IB Diploma Coordinator over the last 14 years as an educator. Prior to teaching, he studied Pure and Applied Mathematics at Leeds University before undertaking a Masters in Education at Durham University. Being a passionate advocate for experiencing the joy and deep richness of mathematics, he has recently published a book called "Mathematical Beauty" which is aimed at IB Diploma students, teachers of mathematics and TOK teachers. Dan now works at the International School of Lausanne in Switzerland, as well as being an Examiner for the Applications and Interpretations course.
