Can you calculate the acceleration due to gravity at the Earth's surface?

Use Newton's law of gravity to show that the acceleration of free fall at the surface of the earth is about 9.8 ms-2

Mass of the Earth = 6 x 10 24 kg

Radius of the Earth = 6400 km

G = 6.6 x 10-11 Nm2kg-2
